My Story

I've always loved to read and talk about books with people, so it made perfect sense that I'd be a TA at the middle school library. However, my seventh grade year, when covid hit, I was forced to go online, not being able to recommend books to people. The librarian, one of my favorite people ever, offered to let me write book reviews for the school library website. I did about three, then got swept up in other things before deciding to put my beloved book blog on pause. Fast forward to 2021, when I found my old document of book blog plans and decided to create this. Wings and Roses wasn't created for anything other than for me to have a place to rant about books (because, let's be real, if I was really creating this to recommend books, then I'd have more than three reviews up), and I enjoy it's newfound purpose.
