Welcome to Wings and Roses!

Hi! My name is Teso, and I'm the one and only recommender here. *enthusiastic jazz hands* I'm sure we've all experienced that moment where we need to find a good book. Whether it's that "post series emptiness", or the "I need to get them a gift but I don't know what they'd like to read", I got your back. I know how hard it is to find YA recommendations sometimes, and I want to make that easier.

This here is a guide to all things books for kids and teenagers. I'm a teenager myself. I'm in high school, and I love helping people find the books that get them into reading. I know that sometimes, walking into a bookstore or a library is definitely intimidating, especially as someone who doesn't know what to look for. I also know that sometimes, people get books that the receiver will never read because they heard that "it was good for all teenagers". That's untrue by the way. There is no such thing as a one size fits all book. Different people are interested different things, and therefore different people like different books. So, here is a guide to books for teenagers, from a teenager. You can find good books to read, relate to someone's opinions, or even just laugh at my many sarcastic asides. People have told me I'm an amazing comedian *wink*. Even if my parents were the only people, I think it counts!

Wings and Roses Book Blog is a project I've been working on for years. When I was in seventh grade, I wrote my first blog post for the middle school librarian. I like to think I've gotten better at it over time. So, thanks for finding my little passion project and I can't wait to help you find your next perfect read! :)

Just a general disclaimer, I'm not a professional, I'm just a person who loves to read. All opinions expressed here are my own. I'm not going to write about a book that I, myself hate, but since I like pretty much everything, good news, there's a lot I'll probably write about! Another thing about this is that I'm going to be irregular with updates, being a kid and stuff, but, hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Teso Rambles: Bubblegum books

My middle school librarian called certain books bubblegum for the brain, where they're good books, but not that mentally stimulating. The main character makes dumb decisions, or the premise is tired a

Teso Rambles: Genres

I know everything I've ever written here screams "she does this about the romance ONLY" but I'm not always in it for the romance. Once in a while I like a good whack or two with a sword. Or a stick, o
